Union Consumer Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said the CCPA has sought a response from Apple Inc regarding the performance issues that arose with the iPhone after the iOS 18+ software update. This step has been taken by the ministry after receiving many complaints on the National Consumer Helpline.
Joshi wrote on Twitter, ‘After receiving complaints on the National Consumer Helpline regarding performance related problems in iPhone after iOS 18+ software update, the Department considered the matter and then sent a notice to Apple through CCPA and sought a response. ‘
After the new software update, iPhone users have reported problems like battery draining quickly, phone getting hot during charging, problem in car play as well as screen freezing, problem in Safari.
