Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued amazing new rules for SIM card users. Now you will not have to worry about recharging again and again. These rules will be applicable on all big networks like Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL. Let us know how much discount you are going to get on whose SIM.
jio sim
Good news for Jio users! Now your SIM will remain active for 90 days without recharging. Incoming calls will also continue as per your last recharge plan – sometimes for a week, sometimes for a month. But if you do not recharge even after 90 days, your SIM will be closed and will be allotted to someone else.
Airtel
Airtel SIM users will also get relief without recharge for 90 days. After this you will get a grace period of 15 days. If recharge is not done even within these 15 days, the number will be switched off and allotted to someone else.
Vi
There is also a validity of 90 days for Vodafone-Idea (Vi) users. But if you want to keep the SIM active, then after this a minimum recharge of ₹ 49 is required.
BSNL
Government company BSNL has left everyone else behind. Now BSNL SIM will remain active for 180 days without recharge. If you are irritated with frequent recharging, then this is the best option for you.
If there is no recharge on your SIM for 90 days, but there is a balance of ₹ 20, then the validity of your SIM will be extended by 30 days from this balance. But if there is no balance, your SIM will be closed and will be given to a new user.
