Pure EV will set up a new plant, will invest 400 crores

Electric two -wheeler manufacturer Pure EV said on Friday that it planned its vehicle capacity and a new construction plant in two phases to 350,000. About 400 crore rupees will be invested on this plant. The company is interacting with the Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments for this new plant.

It currently has its manufacturing capacity of around 50,000 vehicles. The company sold around 12,800 vehicles in 2024 and the figure is estimated to be 25,000 in the calendar year 2025. Nishant Dongri, founder and managing director of Pure EV, said, “The sale figure is expected to cross 50,000 in the year 2026. Out of the investment of Rs 400 crore, about 70 percent will be arranged from equity and the remaining debt.

The company is paying more attention to export markets like Pchim A Shia and Africa and in the calendar year 2024 it exported around 2,000 vehicles. By 2028, it has targeted to export about 20 per cent of its total sales.

Dongri said that the company has targeted to increase the scope of dealer ship networks to 320 from 75 to 2027 and 800 by 2029.
The company has upgraded its X platform to X platform 3.0. This new platform associated with AI technology is an important step towards making user experience special, vehicle performance, improving connection.

Reacting to the new offer, Dongri said, ‘With the offering of X Plate 3.0, we are entering a new era of electric mobility changes through modern AI technologies. This platform is very important for Pure EV and is a symbol of our ambition to take Indian innovation to a global stage. ‘ Initially the X platform 3.0 will be available in Pure EV’s premium models.
