India’s own AI in a few months, the Minister of Information Technology introduced the blueprint; Know details

China’s Startup Deepcik has surprised the world with its Arti Fisal Intelligence (AI) model. In view of this, Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav presented the blueprint of India’s ambitious scheme in the AI region. Vaishnav said today that India will develop many basic Arti Fisal Intelligence models, which ready for use in the next 8 to 10 months
Will be done

Vaishnav said, ‘We believe that there are at least 6 developers who will normally prepare basic models in the next 8 to 10 months. And if they work fast, it can be ready in 4 to 6 months. ‘

He said that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has been working with experts from the Large Language Model (LLM) and Small Language Model (SML) sector to tighten the structure of India’s basic AI model for the last 18 months. Vaishnav said that these models will be developed in India, which will be affordable and will compete around the world. The Union Minister said that these basic models will also take care of aspects of cultural nuances of the country, security of data of Indian citizens and safety.
The companies selected to develop Swedashi AI models were evaluated on the basis of their team’s ability, strategy, their moral ideas, India’s problems, its use deadline, financial feasibility and ability to use the model on a large scale, etc. Will go

The government has also prepared a blueprint for a magnificent view to provide inferior assistance to companies selected to develop basic models. Under direct financial assistance, infinite assistance will be provided to tighten the basic model. In this, the companies will be allocated money when the work is completed to the prescribed level in a phased manner. Apart from this, equity-based help is also planned. Private investors will also be able to participate in this investment process.
The government has targeted to tighten and use indigenous basic models in view of the introduction of a new version of its AI by China’s DipC. Deepcik has made its AI at a very low cost.

The AI Model India AI Mission is being developed in India. The Union Cabinet approved Rs 10,372 crore for this mission in March 2024 and said to buy 10,000 graphics processing units (GPUs) for the country.

Vaishnav said that instead of the target of purchasing 10,000 GPUs, the government has listed 10 companies to buy and supply 18,693 GPUs of the latest versions like H100, H225 and Mi 300X.

H100 and H22 are the fastest and technically the most advanced GPU, which is designed by Nvidia. Similarly, Mi 325 and Mi 300 X are high -level GPUs developed by AMD. Reliance Industries company Jio platform, Tata Group’s Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services, owned by Hiranandani Group, will purchase and supply these GPUs for startups, academics, researchers and other users in the country. Other companies like CMS Computers India, E2E Network and Lokaj Enterprises Solutions have also been found eligible under India AI Mission for the supply of these GPUs.

Vaishnav said, ‘Overall we will have about 15,000 high -level GPUs. To inform you about some things, Dipcik has been trained on 2,000 GPUs while the fourth version of the chat GPT was trained on 25,000 GPUs. The purchase of 18,693 GPU will give us very strong computing facility, which will help in creating AI Applications, Model and Training Process and new algorithms. ‘Vaishnav said,’ Vaishnav said, ‘Average price per AI compute unit per AI Compute Unit is 115.85,’ The rupee is an hour per hour, while it comes to Rs 150 per hour in a high level unit. Its benchmark cost worldwide is about 2.5 to 3 dollars per GPU hours. A senior government official said that the government may give additional discounts to users who sign up for six months or one year and more time. He said that these incentives and exemption will be for the next 4 years only.
