Stock market closing bell: The domestic stock market closed in the third consecutive trading session on Thursday (January 30) amidst a boom in global markets.
The BSE Sensex with thirty -share opened with a slight rise at 76,598 points on Thursday (January 30). However, it was slipped in red as soon as it opened. The Sensex later returned. Finally it climbed 226.85 points or 0.30% to close at 76,759.81.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty 50 (Nifty50) returned to the green mark after a poor start. However, it fell to 23,139 points during trading. Finally, the Nifty closes at 23,249.50 with a gain of 86.40 points or 0.37%.
Fed did not change interest rates
The US Federal Reserve kept its interest rates stable on Wednesday. Recently, Fed decided that steps would be taken keeping in mind the economic and political circumstances ahead. Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) kept its interest rate stable between 4.25% to 4.5% as expected.

On Wednesday (29 January), thirty -share BSE Sensex rose 631.55 points or 0.83% to 76,532.96, while the Nifty closed at 23,163.10 with a gain of 205.85 points or 0.90%.
