South Korean automobile major Hyundai Motor Company has incorporated TVS Motor Company Limited to enter the last mile transportation market in India. Hyundai unveiled concept models of modern electric three-wheelers and small four-wheelers at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Although no binding agreement has been contemplated or implemented at this time, Hyundai Motor is exploring the potential to offer design, engineering and technology, while TVS Motor will lead the way in manufacturing and marketing the vehicles.
SangYup Lee, executive vice president and head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design, said, ‘In collaborating with TVS Motor, our intention is to produce three-wheelers locally, while also exploring global opportunities for four-wheelers, which are rapidly growing. The company says these innovative concepts reimagine mobility solutions that prioritize convenience, environment and adaptability as part of India’s dynamic transportation landscape. Hui underlines Hyundai Motor’s unwavering commitment to its vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’.
Lee said, ‘Hyundai Motors is a customer-centric brand and taking care of people in India is our first mission. This commitment has inspired us to design micro-mobility solutions tailored to India’s unique environment and we have envisioned the iconic three-wheeler to enhance mobility experiences through thoughtful design.’
According to the company, these concept models can not only meet the pressing needs of eco-friendly mobility, but can also be in line with the evolving demands of Indian roads and urban infrastructure.
