Ola Electric launched 8 Gen 3 scooters, bumper bounce in shares, learn features and other details

Ola Electric’s shares rose 14.4% to ₹ 76.50 at Intra-Day trade on Friday. The company on Friday launched 8 new scooters with generation 3 features at its S1 portfolio, including mass and premium segment. According to the company, the GEN 3 platform has a 20% higher power, 11% lower cost and 20% more range than GEN 2.

EV market leader again

Ola Electric again secured a leader’s position in January 2025 with a 25% market share in India’s electric two-wheeler (EV 2W) market. According to the vigor data, the company registered 22,656 vehicles in January, which is a 65% increase on a month-long basis. In December 2024, Bajaj Auto gained the top position with a 25% stake in the EV Two-wheeler market, while Ola Electric’s stake was reduced from 24% to 19%.

Price and variants of new scooters

Ola Electric has launched the Gen 3 S1 Pro+ in 5.3KWH and 4KWH battery options. The S1 Pro is introduced in 4kwh and 3kwh battery options. Gen 3 S1 X has come in four variants, including S1 X+ (4KWH) and S1 X (4KWH, 3KWH and 2kwh battery options).

The starting price of the GEN 3 scooter starts from ₹ 79,999 (S1 X, 2KWH) and goes up to ₹ 1,69,999 (S1 Pro+ 5.3KWh). Its delivery may begin on 15 February.

The total market cap of Ola Electric is ₹ 32,935.67 crore. Its shares are trading on the PE ratio of 64.38 and on the earning of ₹ 34.46 per share. On Friday at 2:25 pm, Ola Electric shares were at ₹ 74.6A2, which was 11.62%, while the BSE Sensex gained 0.64% to 77,248.12.
