Maruti Suzuki Q3 Results: The country’s largest car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India announced the results of the third quarter of the current financial year 2024-25 on Wednesday, 29 January. In the information given to the stock market, the company said that its standalone net profit rose 13% to Rs 3,525 crore in the December quarter. It was Rs 3,130 crore in the same quarter of a year ago. According to the exchange filing, the revenue of Maruti Suzuki India rose 16% to Rs 38,492.1 crore. It was Rs 33,308.7 crore in the same quarter of a year ago.
Maruti exports record 99,220 vehicles in December quarter
The company sold a total of 5,66,213 vehicles in the third quarter. The company sales in the domestic market was 4,66,993 units. While the export was 99,220 units, which is the highest export ever in any quarter. The company had a total sales of 5,01,207 units in the same period last year, including 4,29,422 units in the domestic market and 71,785 units in the export market.
During the December quarter, the company recorded the highest net cell ever, which was Rs 36,802 crore, compared to Rs 31,860 crore in the same period last year.
Maruti’s stock dropped about 2%
On BSE, Maruti Suzuki India shares were trading at Rs 11940 in today’s Intra-Day Trade at a price of Rs 11940. The company’s stock has increased by about 11% in the last one month. At the same time, on the annual basis, the stock has given a return of about 20% to investors.
The responsibility of MD and CEO re -entrusted to Hisashi Takeuchi
Maruti’s board has approved the proposal to re -appoint Hisashi Takeuchi as MD and CEO for an additional period of three years from April 1, 2025. Takeuchi was first appointed to these posts on April 1, 2022. He replaced Kenichi Aykawa, which retired on 31 March 2022.
Taakeuchi was part of the board of directors of Maruti Suzuki since July 2019 and was Joint Managing Director (Commercial) from April 2021 to his promotion. He joined the Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) in 1986. He has a widespread experience of the international operations of SMC as well as foreign markets.
